OUR NICHE IS OLD SCHOOL BLUES MUSIC. INCLUDING ORIGINAL SONGS IN THE TRADITIONAL STYLE. POWERFUL VOCALS AND GUITAR WORK ARE OUR CALLING CARD. WE ALSO COVER JIMMY ROGERS, JIMMY REED, WILLIE DIXON, LEADBELLY, HOWLING WOLF AND OTHERS IN THIS GENRE.

John "J. Bones" Puccio - Lead Vocalist, Songwriter. A familiar face on the New York City music scene, John Puccio has appeared at the Bitter End, Cafe Wha, Kenny's Castaways, Lone Star Cafe, Dan Lynches, A7th Club, S.N.A.F.U. Bar, The 5's, Park Inn, Tin Pan Alley, and Dr. B's, to name a few. He has performed with musicians of every stripe. Among those that have appeared with him on New York stages include Corky Laing, Odetta, Burning Spear, Paul Butterfield, Bob Mintzer, Vicky Sue Robinson, John Paris, Johnny Winter, and many others. An exceptional vocalist with dynamic stage presence, Puccio has fronted various bands from the Ruthless Bros., J.Bones & Gooddaze, N.Y.C. Blues, and most recently, The Bravuras. Along with long time partner Patrick "Goodneck" Malone, Puccio opened for Albert King, Albert Collins, Paul Butterfield Blues band, and James Cotton.

Mike Donaghue – Drummer. The newest member of the band, he has been performing with The Texas Son Band throughout central and western New York and Pennsylvania
for the last four years. He has appeared with Big Tobacco and The Double Down Blues Band along with a short stint with The Gunslingers. He has also played with band members Nick and John in the last couple of years with Bluestone and Bella Blue. Gigs as an occasional house drummer for Blues open mics in Niagara Falls and Buffalo have made him well known to Blues fans and musicians in the area. Some performers that he has had the good fortune to appear on stage with include John Riggi, Willie May, Jack Civiletto, Sean Costello, Joe Beard and Diane Kallay. Mike is very enthused to be with The Bravuras and to be playing their originals and versions of some of the great old school Blues classics.

George Mort - Bass Guitar. George got his start playing country music in “On the Road” a local Niagara Falls band. He has performed in various bands throughout the 90's, in Buffalo and San Francisco.Most recently George has been sitting in with “Big Tobacco” and “the “Double Down blues bands. He has brought his smooth style and "walking bass" technique to The Bravuras. George Mort and Bravuras drummer; Mike Donaghue, have been working together for many years on the Western New York scene and now provide our band with a rock solid rhythm section.

Felix Mayer - Guitarist - Felix has been playing guitar and bass for over twenty years. He was lucky to be born into a very musical Family, both of his parents played in the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Felix started taking guitar lessons when he was nine years old and then took up the string bass and electric bass while in high school. Over the years Felix frequently played bass & Guitar in local bands; Beginnings, & Taxi, and more recently, he was the lead guitarist in a local fifty’s sixty’s band called “Rock N’ Soul”. He is also a seasoned studio musician gets calls to play recording and session work. Felix is passionate about music and has always enjoyed every opportunity to express his excitement through live performances. Bringing his extensive technical skills, combined with a serious instinct for the Blues; Felix has happily directed his creative focus by becoming the lead guitarist of the Bravuras.

John P Hufford Sr. (Huff) - Guitar, harmonica, vocals, songwriter. A life long love for the BLUES made John decide to learn to play the guitar while in his late twenties. After several years of lessons and learning he sustained an injury to his left hand that forced him to lay down the guitar for over a year to let the hand heal. Finding it difficulty in not playing, he decided to pick up the harp and discovered a new love. After several more years of honing his skills on both instruments John entered the music scene and began performing at such places as the CPG, Taproom, Cuzins, Pizza Plant etc. Huff is very fond of the OLD SCHOOL BLUES. He is delighted to be working with The Bravuras.
