The JBMS Voice Club is a monthly hang out for singers to grow their music in whatever area is required. Both professionals and semi-professionals need networking and promotion as they continue to hone their craft. They may want to learn more about the music business and booking themselves or get a few tips on how to handle difficult music pieces.

We allow new singers who have not had much training to come on out to listen and learn until they want to take the mic. You won’t be put on the spot, but you will be encouraged to work toward getting up and doing a tune with us whenever you are ready.

What is the primary difference between instrumental and vocal musicians? One word - Practice. They practice on a regular basis and they make a point of practicing with others. Therefore, they will be at all the jam sessions or will even get together and hang out at home musically. While they are having a ton of fun - guess what? They are learning a ton too. Mostly, singers don’t get together to work on music together in order to work on technique, fix bad habits, or try new things like trading 4’s. That’s got to change.

Ok, if you are a pro you may have had some very good success singing out. But, what about the parts you are still having trouble with? Don’t you want to work on that with really good musicians and other singers. How can that NOT be fun??

For the non-pros you know you have a good sounding voice, but don’t know why you can’t fix certain parts of the song you are working. People always tell you that you should be singing, but you are intimidated because you know there are still some problems. Together we can fix that stuff.

These club sessions are meant for us to grow our musical abilities in a big way, as quickly as possible, while having a lot of fun. We will bond and we will become stronger.

If we work together not only could we all get more singing jobs, but we would all be healthier mentally, physically and emotionally too. As singers we know that singing soothes the soul.

So come one and all. Leave the egos and hang ups at the door. This is the place where your music will blossom. This is the place you can take chances. The session size is kept small just for that reason.

I also look forwarding to learning what I can from you!!
